LJK Communications selected the headline for the press release - ‘Don’t eat out on Monday 3rd of April’- for an all-Ireland Chef’s Conference hosted by public sector body, the Tourism Training Trust. The Tourism Training Trust is recognised as the Sector Training Council (STC) which represents the tourism and hospitality industry’s training requirements and future skill needs to government departments and funding bodies. Almost 400 chefs from Coleraine to Cork attended the Chef Conference in the Marketplace Theatre, Armagh. The one-day conference attracted some of Ireland’s best-known chefs and restaurateurs. LJK Communications worked with the Tourism Training Trust and Failte Ireland to ensure advance awareness of the event in key publications. LJK Communications generated almost 30 articles about the event including interviews in the three main Northern Ireland daily newspapers, BBC Radio Ulster and two regional radio stations.
Robert McKenna, Acting Chief Executive of Tourism Training Trust commented: "It is testament to LJK Communications , that when it came to getting the level of press and media coverage that we wanted for the Chef Conference 2006, LJK Communications delivered and exceeded my expectations. Thanks to LJK Communications, going the extra mile for the client is something that you get without asking."
